Join Arctic Nomads for an unforgettable journey through the stunning wilderness of the Arctic. Our tours, designed for both novices and experienced adventurers, range from private experiences for one person to small groups of up to 6 or 7 individuals, all based out of Alta, Finnmark, Norway.

Your journey begins

Upon your arrival in Alta—your gateway to this icy paradise—we warmly welcome you, ensuring a seamless transition from the airport to the start of your polar quest. To give you and idea of how a multi day Arctic experience would look like below an example.


The first day
On the day of your arrival, we will have an educational and introductory session in and around the beautiful area where we'll be staying the first night. During this session, you'll learn the basics about the equipment and receive practical information. We will conclude the day with a welcome dinner

Start of the Tour

The second day
The real adventure begins now. We'll head into the nearby wilderness, where you'll carry your own equipment as we explore the stunning Arctic landscapes on skis or snowshoes. You'll sleep in a tent or perhaps even in a snow cave you build yourself.

The last ski day
On the final day of our adventure, we'll return to our base camp, where you'll once again stay in our unique accommodations. After a refreshing warm shower, we'll gather for a celebratory closing dinner. Together, we'll relive our unforgettable Arctic experience, watching the tour video and savoring the memories of our journey one last time

What we do

  • Provide you with the basic, high quality, needed equipment like, tent, pulk (the sledge) stoves (one per 2 person tent), and fuel. Ski’s, snowshoes, boots, sleeping bag and mattress can also be part of the equipment if not having ourself.
  • One or two guides for up to 6 - 8 people.
  • Advise on equipment like clothes, food etc.
  • Our best to give you an unforgettable experience
  • Pre-tour, online-meetings for the first introduction and a preparation advices.

What we don't do

  • Carry you
  • Carry your food, luggage and equipment
  • Feed you caviar or Champagne
  • Bring a toilet. Yes, nature does it
  • Set up and break down your tent
  • Push you up the mountain
  • Control the weather or the Northern lights
  • Cross mountain glaciers or land ice sheet (only on special request)
